An elderly couple was on a cruise when it became quite stormy. When a wave came up and washed the elderly woman overboard, they were standing on the back of the boat, watching the moon. They looked for her for days and couldn't find her, so the captain ordered the old man back to shore, promising to alert him as soon as they found anything. After three weeks, the old guy received a fax from the boat. "Sir, we're sorry to inform you that we discovered your wife dead at the bottom of the ocean," it said. We dragged her up to the deck, and attached to her corpse was an oyster containing a $50,000 pearl. Please let me know." "Send me the pearl and re-bait the trap," the old man replied by fax.

At least three minors were among the 31 passengers killed when the ferry caught fire.

Following the fire on the MV Lady Mary Joy 3 off the southern province of Basilan on Wednesday evening, at least 23 people were wounded and taken to the hospital. Rescuers are still looking for at least seven missing passengers, with fears that there were additional passengers on board who were not mentioned in the ship's manifest. The ferry is fully engulfed in flames, according to shocking video footage. According to regional governor Jim Hataman, survivors jumped into the water and were rescued by the coast guard, another passing vessel, and local fishermen. 'Some of the passengers were roused from their sleep due to the commotion created by the fire,' he said. Some people leapt off the ship.' A tornado kills 23 people in Mississippi, wreaking pandemonium in the southern US state.

  Tornadoes swept over Mississippi, killing at least 23 people and left a devastation in their wake. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency stated on Twitter that search and rescue teams from local and state agencies had been mobilized to assist tornado victims. Early Saturday, the agency revealed that 23 people had perished, four were missing, and dozens had been injured. "Unfortunately, these numbers are expected to change," the agency tweeted a few minutes later. A tornado inflicted damage around 60 miles north-east of Jackson, Mississippi, according to the National Weather Service. The remote settlements of Silver City and Rolling Fork were destroyed as the tornado moved northeast at 70 mph, racing into Alabama through towns like Winona and Amory into the night. The technology's creator stated in a tweet that he did not leave Google to criticize it.  The man dubbed "the Godfather of A.I.", Geoffrey Hinton, has resigned his position at Google. This shift represents a critical turning point in the advancement of AI, as Hinton is joining forces with other detractors to raise awareness of the possible risks associated with AI,  according to a New York Times report.  The pioneer of artificial intelligence laid the theoretical groundwork for the AI systems that drive modern chatbots like ChatGPT. He was one of the most esteemed experts in the field and has over ten years of experience working with Google.  Hinton claimed in an interview with The Times that he left his position at Google so that he could talk openly about the dangers of AI.   An elderly American couple went on holiday to Jerusalem. While they were there, the wife passed away.  The undertaker explained to the husband that "You can have her shipped home for $5,000 or you can have her buried here in the Holy Land for $150."  The man thought about it and told him that he would just have his wife shipped home.  The undertaker was surprised. He asked the man: "Why would you spend $5,000 to have your wife shipped home when it would be wonderful for her to be buried here and you would spend only $150?"  The husband replied: "Long ago, a man died here, was buried, and three days later he rose from the dead.
