An elderly couple was on a cruise when it became quite stormy. When a wave came up and washed the elderly woman overboard, they were standing on the back of the boat, watching the moon. They looked for her for days and couldn't find her, so the captain ordered the old man back to shore, promising to alert him as soon as they found anything. After three weeks, the old guy received a fax from the boat. "Sir, we're sorry to inform you that we discovered your wife dead at the bottom of the ocean," it said. We dragged her up to the deck, and attached to her corpse was an oyster containing a $50,000 pearl. Please let me know." "Send me the pearl and re-bait the trap," the old man replied by fax.

Emergency services were called to the multi-story building near to the Capitol Centre in Cardiff city centre. A "thick rancid smell and plumes of smoke" were noticed by shoppers shortly after the fire erupted, followed by numerous loud booms. Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), arrived in Israel on Wednesday night for a visit aimed at improving military ties, particularly in the area of naval operations.  Kurilla, who was received by Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, began his tour to the Israeli Navy's elite Shayetet 13 commando unit on Thursday.  Cpt. A total of 50,494 valid votes were cast, representing a 70% turnout.
